Our tips for choosing the most comfortable sofa
In order to ensure the comfort of your sofa, it is essential to pay attention to its density and therefore to its filling. There are several materials for filling sofas: here are a few to help you make your choice.
By considering these different upholstery options, as well as your personal preferences for comfort and durability, you can choose the sofa upholstery that best meets your needs and expectations.
Latex
Valued for its natural, durable and biodegradable appearance, latex is also used for sofa filling. Not only does it provide optimal comfort, but it is also renowned for its health benefits, being frequently used in the manufacture of mattresses.
The foam
Used for most fillings, sofa foam comes in 3 types: polyether (density between 16 and 25 kg/m3), polyurethane (24 and 35 kg/m3) and high resilience polyurethane, often combined with wadding to gain flexibility. While polyether foam sofas are more affordable, polyurethane ones offer superior comfort and greater durability.
The pen
Preferred for high-end sofas, feather filling provides comfort and prevents the sofa from deforming easily, thus ensuring a longer lifespan. Their thermoregulatory capacity guarantees optimal comfort whatever the ambient temperature.
